Finland and the United States complete the semi-finals!

Finland and the United States, which hosts the tournament, won their quarter-finals and advanced to the semi-finals.

Finland had already lost 2-0 after 15 minutes against Slovakia, but turned the tables and qualified for the last four with a 4-2 victory. Ilves striker Marco Antilla scored two goals.

USA beat Switzerland 3-0 in a game between Group A No.1 and Group B No.4. Hosted by a brilliant Jeremy Swamen, USA did show up and thus won the semi-finals. Ben Meyers, who signed his first NHL contract with the Colorado Avalanche a few weeks ago, built a brace on the American boys’ shutout victory.

Two semi-finals take place on Saturday. Finland and the United States will face off at 1:20 p.m., and four hours later, Canada and the Czech Republic will face off for the gold medal game.
