Vestas wins contracts in Japan, Lithuania and Finland

Vestas wins 50 MW order in Japan

Vesta obtained an order for 50 MW with Toda Corporation for the SGET Iwaizumi wind farm in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. Owned by SPARX Green Energy & Technology, the wind project will be built by Toda Corporation and will consist of 12 units of V117-4.2 MW wind turbines.

The order includes the supply and supervision of the installation of the turbines, 9 of which will be installed on 114-meter towers and the other 3 on 84-meter towers. With the site located on complex mountainous terrain in Iwate Prefecture, Vestas provides the best solutions to meet specific site conditions as well as customer needs by leveraging our location, project management and advanced technology.

Vestas will also provide 20 years of Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service for the wind farm, providing an energy-based uptime guarantee to ensure optimized performance and long-term business certainty for the customer.

Delivery of the turbines will begin in the second quarter of 2024, with commissioning scheduled for the third quarter of 2025.

Vestas secures order for 74 MW project in Finland

Vesta received an order for 74 MW for a wind project Finland. The project includes 12 V162-6.2 MW turbines and a full 30-year maintenance contract (AOM 5000) to maximize annual energy production.

“This order strengthens our presence in Finland and highlights the versatility and strong performance of EnVentus platform technology, while we can utilize our proven service offerings and extensive market experience,” said Juan Furones, Vice President Sales North and West, NCE Region for Vestas. “I would like to express my thanks to our client for their confidence in Vestas”.

Deliveries and installation of the wind turbines are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2024, while commissioning is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Vestas wins 74 MW EPC order for wind project in Lithuania

Vesta received an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order for a 74 MW wind project in Lithuania. In addition to the manufacture, delivery and installation of the wind turbines, Vestas will also be the Plant Balance Contractor (BoP), meaning it will provide all civil and electrical work.

Leveraging the versatility and high performance of the EnVentus platform technology, the project consists of 12 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines along with a full 35-year maintenance contract (AOM 5000) to maximize production annual energy.

This order in Lithuania follows the successful completion by Vestas of the Targale wind farm in Latvia.
